Company Policy: Concession in a Recession is a fictional musical irony (referencing the 2008-09 global recession) about the takeover of a traditional Viennese Tavern ("Heurigen") called the Grinzing Inn by a chain restaurant company called The Merry-Go-Round Restaurant Company or MGRRC. The chain restaurant is owned by investors associated with the new political party The Corporate United Party or CUP ("The Cup of Opportunity") headed by the ambitious politician Gustav Grabenheimer. The dual-formatted CD of the musical irony Company Policy: Concession in a Recession comes complete with a full script and piano-vocal scores of all musical numbers (19 plus transition music) and orchestrated backing tracks for rehearsals and / or performances. This version allows a pianist to rehearse the numbers with the vocal ensemble and either perform it with the piano accompaniment or with the backing tracks. The audio tracks, which can be played on standard CD players, are also ideal for the performers to practice on their own at home either with the music notation and / or together with the vocal demo tracks. The script and piano-vocal scores are in pdf format and can be printed from standard computers (a PDF reader is needed).
